What does IWSB mean?

IWSB is the acronym for the International Wine, Spirits & Beer Event (IWSB) which will be held at NRA Show 2011, May 22-23. It is the only beverage alcohol trade event with vintner, distiller and brewer tastings and demonstrations.

What are the IWSB Event dates/hours?
• Sunday, May 22, 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Monday, May 23, 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Where will the IWSB Event be located?

The International Wine, Spirits & Beer Event (IWSB) will be located in the Grand Ballroom in the South Building of McCormick Place on Level 1.

How much does it cost to register?
• September 1 - December 1:  $85.00 per person.
• December 2 - April 15: $100.00 per person.
• After April 15: $145.00 per person.

• $55.00 per person for NRA members.
Can anyone register to attend the IWSB Event?

No, this event is not open to the public. The following criteria must be met in order to register for IWSB:

 1. You must be over 21 years or older. NO EXCEPTIONS.
 2. Event is open to trade only. You must be a purchaser or purchase influencer of beverage alcohol for a restaurant or foodservice operation.
 3. You will be required to present a government issued photo ID to register for the event.

Note: Qualified entrance criteria for NRA Show 2011 does not guarantee admittance to the IWSB Event.

Do I have to be an NRA Member to attend the IWSB Event?
No, but you must be a purchaser or purchase influencer of beverage alcohol for a restaurant or foodservice operation. A tax ID number is required to register for the Event. Your company’s accounting/finance department can provide you with the tax ID number.

 

Can I also attend NRA Show 2011 with an IWSB event badge?

Yes, your badge for IWSB will provide you entrance to NRA Show 2011. However, a NRA Show badge will not provide you entrance to IWSB.

Do I have to pay an additional fee if I want to attend NRA Show 2011?

No. If you have purchased a badge for the IWSB Event, you do not have to pay another registration fee to attend NRA Show 2011. Your IWSB badge will allow you entrance to NRA Show 2011. However if you have purchased a NRA Show 2011 badge only, you will have to pay an additional registration fee to attend the IWSB Event.

What does the IWSB Event registration fee include?

The IWSB registration fee includes access to the IWSB Event on both days, the IWSB education sessions and menu pairings as well as access to the NRA Show on all four days, NRA Show education sessions, the keynote address, Celebrity Book Signings, World Culinary Showcase, Kitchen Innovations and many opportunities for networking. The registration fee does not include access to the Restaurant Executive Breakfast. Registration for the Restaurant Executive Breakfast requires an additional fee.

Are children allowed in the Show?

No. You must be 21 years or older to attend IWSB. A government-issued photo ID will be required to gain entrance to IWSB. Please note: This rule is strictly enforced and there are no exceptions to this policy.

Can I register over the phone?

No, registrations will NOT be taken over the phone. You must register to attend the IWSB Event online through our Web site.

Can I use a credit card to register?

Yes, we accept all major credit cards (American Express, Diner’s Club, Discover, MasterCard, VISA).

Are there special rates such as group rates, daily rates, etc., available to attend the Show?

No. Everyone pays the same rate to attend the IWSB Event.

What is the refund and cancellation policy?

You will receive a full refund if cancellation is received by April 15, 2011. Cancellations must be e-mailed to NRA at iwsbreg@restaurant.org. Cancellations will NOT be taken over the phone. No refunds will be given after April 15, 2011.

If, for some reason, you won’t be able to join us, qualified substitutions are welcome at any time. Please submit your substitution request to the IWSB Show manager at iwsbreg@restaurant.org or by fax to (312) 580-5416.

How do I make hotel arrangements?

Hotel arrangements can be made through our Web site via the NRA Show Travel Desk.  Information regarding housing and travel will be available in early October.

Do registered attendees receive materials in advance of the event?

Yes, but only if attendees are pre-registered by a specified date. Name badges will be mailed to all registrants in advance of a meeting if the attendee registers six weeks prior to the meeting date. By registering early, attendees will spend far less time in line onsite at the registration desk.

Where can I get a wheelchair or mobile scooter for the Show?
