Visas for International Visitors

Apply for your visa early

Applying for a visa can be a lengthy process. We recommend that you start early. Begin the application process three to four months prior to the International Wine, Spirits & Beer Event.

Obtain a "Letter of Invitation"

Follow these simple steps to obtain a “Letter of Invitation” from the National Restaurant Association. This may help you get your temporary visa to enter the United States.

1. Generate the letter yourself. (Automated generation of visa letters will be available soon.)

2. E-mail a request for a hard-copy letter. E-mail only.
a. E-mail a request for a hard-copy letter to nraregistration@dineout.org.
b. In your e-mail, be sure to include your name, as it appears on your passport and your e-mail address.
c. We will e-mail you a personalized invitation letter within 72 hours.

The National Restaurant Association cannot assist you with the interview process, nor can anyone representing the National Restaurant Association call the embassy or consulate on your behalf to provide support for granting a visa.

If you are denied a visitor visa, you may reapply if there is new evidence to overcome the basis for the refusal. In the absence of new evidence, consular officers are not required to re-examine such cases.
